Bad Breath Mouthwash – What Do You Really Want From a Mouthwash That Fights Bad Breath?

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

badbreathmouthwashMouthwash for Bad Breath – What You Are Really Looking For!

There are so many mouthwashes that are made for bad breath that it is quite exasperating!

But when it comes down to it, we all intuitively know that no ALL mouthwash can be equal. There has to be a best mouthwash that can destroy bad breath.

Here Is What To Look For In a Mouthwash For Bad Breath:

1. Oxygenation – It is an oxygenated mouthwash that is going to have an impact on the bacteria that cause bad breath. An OxyChlor compound is most likely the most powerful and safest alternative. Some might argue otherwise. However, there is one more very important factor to consider.

2. pH balance! When you consider a mouthwash, you also need to consider it’s overall impact on your health. Most people have heard that some mouthwash that contains a high concentration of alcohol will dry the mucous membranes of the mouth. Yet, few understand what that means!

When the mouth is dry, bacteria will reproduce more rapidly! This can ultimately cause the exact opposite of the effect you were looking for. More bacteria could spell more bad breath! Congrats, you have found a temporary solution that could make things worse in the long run!

Getting back to the pH balance! pH balance is very important for a similar reason as mentioned above. When the pH of the mouth is low – bacteria grow more rapidly.

In addition, low pH is not good for the health of your teeth either. In an acidic environment it is more likely that calcium and phosphate will be pulled out of your tooth enamel leaving you more vulnerable to cavities and teeth that can more easily crack because their fundamental strength has been compromised.

So, what can I do?

Get a mouthwash that has the ability to balance mouth pH that utilizes the power of oxygen instead of alcohol or other chemicals!

Lots and lots of people have had success with such a mouthwash. You can download a free report on this topic here.

You can also find several mouthwashes that fit the above description here.

If you like coupons, when you go to the above link, be sure to check for the store coupons. Hint: There is a link to a list of store coupons on the left hand nav bar near the bottom!

Studies have shown that using an electric toothbrush for most people gives superior plaque reduction over a manual brush. This is because many people do not brush for a full 2 minutes. Electrics have timers in them to help make sure you get the full two minutes

Therabreath Oral Rinse….

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

therabreath-oral-rinse

There are several therabreath coupon codes you can use for the therabreath oral rinses:

1. a-per10 – This coupon offers a free tube of Perio Therapy toothpaste + Free Shipping

2. a-fg10 – This coupon offers 10% off + Free Shipping + a Free Therabreath Basics Kit (mouthwash + Toothpaste) – only works on orders over $100

3. b-Fg5 – This coupon is good for $5 off and free shipping on orders over $60

There are also additional rinses such as therabreath plus oral rinse which includes a ‘whitening’ aspect to the formula.

As a therabreath oral rinse review I would say this – the power behind these rinses is the power of oxyd-8. This is a chlorine dioxide compound that releases the power of oxygen into the oral cavity. The anaerobic bacteria responsible for causing breath problems absolutely despise the oxygen. This can help to reduce the bacterial population of the ‘bad’ bacteria. This is what makes the therabreath products, including therabreath toothpaste more potent than a simple salt water mouthrinse!

There are other types of dental mouthwash such as the periogard mouth rinse – however it is made of chlorhexidine. This chlorhexidine is very potent killer of bacteria. However, this mouth rinse would only be available via prescription. Longer term use (perhaps as little as two weeks) can result in dark staining of the teeth. This is a side effect that no one would want.

The list of different mouth rinses goes on, there is: (in no particluar order) oral b mouthwash, listerine bad breath mouthwash, viadent mouthwash, profresh mouthwash, lavoris mouthwash, other chlorine dioxide mouthwash, antiseptic mouthwash, oasis mouthwash and the list goes on and on.

A smart mouthwash would be one that is pH balanced and very few of the formulas on the market can claim this benefit. Therabreath oral rinse is one of the few that can.

The benefit to being a pH balanced dental oral rinse is that it raises the pH balance of the mouth. When you have this, their are two essential benefits.

The first is that the bacteria do not do well in an more basic environment. They like a more acidic environment and they produce more rapidly under acidic conditions. With the exception of xylitol mouthwash you are not likely to find too many mouth rinses that will drive the pH of the mouth higher.

The second benefit to a ph balanced mouthwash formula is that it can preserve your dental enamel and hardness of your teeth. When the pH is higher, the saliva can help your teeth to remineralize. Consider that when considering the thera breath oral rinse. When the mouth is acidic in nature as are some mouthwases, including many types of bad breath mouthwash, it is much easier for the opposite to happen. In other words calcium and phosphate can be pulled out of the teeth in an acidic mouth environment.

So when you are thinking about how to get rid of bad breath, these are other factors that you may want to keep in mind.

The Dr. Katz therabreath rinses are much better, in my opinion, than a peroxide oral rinse.

Therabreath Plus Coupons

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

Therabreath plus

Therabreath plus is the advanced super charged formula of the therabreath line. If you are looking for the strongest formula for fighting bad breath, perhaps therabreath plus is for you.

But, like most intelligent shoppers you would prefer to have a coupon or discount on your purchases, right?

I mean, why pay full price when you don’t have to. I think any wise person today would agree.

Here are three therabreath plus coupon codes that you can use for savings.

1. a-fg10 This gives you 10% off, free shipping and a free therabreath basics kit for any order over $100. Ten percent can be a substantial savings, especially when you are stocking up and ordering in bulk?

But, what if you don’t want to order $100 worth of product? Well when you are saving 10% on your purchase order, it is worth it. The more you spend, the more you save! So try using the coupon code for really large orders, like $200 or $300 to save even more dollars. But anything over $100 allows you to use this coupon code.

a-fg10 can also be used for larger purchases such as for the Grossan Hydro Pulse or the Hydro Floss – provided you nudge that purchase just over $100. (A simple tongue scraper will do it).

If you are definitely going to spend less than $100 but would still like to save, try coupon b-fg5, you save 5$ on any purchase over $60 and get free shipping too with this coupon.

Spending less than $60? Then try coupon code a-per10 – at least you will still get free shipping. And with the cost of shipping today, that is still a savings over not using the coupon.

So as you can see there are many ways to save on the therabreath plus products. Go there now and start saving!
